Oh God, Drayton, not ANOTHER “Final Appearance”, you old fraud?

->->An unprecedented galaxy of marketing talent – for the first and last time ever.

Do you know who Ken McCarthy is?

He ran the first ever seminar on internet marketing 24 years ago.  He taught many of the people whose names you’ll recognise today.

People like Ben Settle, Perry Marshall  and Howie Jacobson

His marketing career was sparked by a book in the New York Public Library It was called Commonsense Direct Marketing, by Drayton Bird.

But sadly he’s become a bit of a cynic.  He wrote me last week saying “You’ve had more comebacks than Frank Sinatra.”

Well, here’s the truth.

As you know saying “This is last time” something will happen is a good way to make money.

But you must never lie.

So far I’ve had two events to celebrate the news that you’re going to see the back of me.

The first was my last  two  day seminar, and the second was my last   one  day seminar.

The “star” of my two day event was Trevor “Toecracker” Crook, Australia’s answer to Genghis Khan.

Now this maniac has arranged an event in, of all places, Gdańsk in Poland.

I thought he was mad, but it turns out I was wrong.

I will speak twice during this event.

And I faithfully swear is will be the last – and first – time I speak for two hours in Gdansk.

But it will not celebrate one thing, but two.

First, my 83rd birthday which may produce an epic hangover but won’t change your life.

But also my autobiography – “You Did What?” which I should have finished by then.

And besides telling stories about all the nonsense I’ve been up to – good, bad and downright insane – the event will make you money.

One reason is that I will tell you the most important things I’ve learnt in 62 years in marketing.

I guarantee that alone will make it worth the investment.

Also, my great antiquity will reassure you: I can’t keep devising last events of one kind or another.

But there is another reason.

A surprising and unique guarantee

Never mind what I can do for you. I guarantee you will never, ever see the people you can learn from at this Gdańsk jaunt.

That’s because when Trevor told his famous marketing friends in America what he was planning, something surprising happened.

Quite a number jumped at the opportunity – because they had never spoken in Europe or even outside the US before.

They include

John Carlton
Caleb O’Dowd
Bond Halbert
Matt Furey
Ed Dale
Nik Thakorlal
Ben Simpkin
Pauline Longdon
Brian Cassingena

If you don’t know some of these names you’re reading this by accident.

And if you don’t think you should seriously consider this opportunity I’ll be astonished.

On the other hand… I won’t be astonished if it sells out – just sorry – if you can’t make it.

So if it interests you, have a look here.

Best, Drayton

P. S. Will I be talking about David Ogilvy? Yes. Will I be talking about the 3 ladies who just failed to kill me? Yes. Was one of them a retired lady of the night? Yes. Was another a stripper? Yes. Will I discuss the 7 years I lived under a false name? Yes. What about my attempts to sell fake paintings in Australia? Even that will be covered.  You really should be there, shouldn’t you? Gdańsk is not only beautiful – it’s where the stripper was born.

P. P. S. Will this be quite unlike any other marketing event you ever attended? Abso-bloody-lutely.
