>> But there are three catches.
“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.” – Pericles
About 10 years ago I was interviewed by Clayton Makepeace.
I believe he was the best copywriter in the world until he sadly passed away just a few short months ago.
I’ve never come across anyone who worked as hard as he did, he would get up at 2am to start working.
One evidence of his astonishing grasp of what works and what doesn’t when you’re trying to persuade people is his checklist.
I can guarantee that if you follow it you simply can’t fail.
After interviewing me he told me he felt as if he had just been talking to the Pope.
If I was the Pope then he was God.
If you go through this checklist you will learn everything you ever need to know about what makes good copy.
Of course there are catches as there always are in this world.
First of all – you must be able to write. Not many people can.
Second you must be incredibly diligent and hard working.
Altogether there are 64 you must check to get everything right.
Very few of us are diligent enough.
And the third if, of course, producing copy that meets so many demanding criteria takes a tremendous amount of time and effort.
Clayton always put in the time and effort, and charged colossal sums for his work. And it was always worth it.
So what if you don’t have all the prerequisites I’ve mentioned?
I may not have been the Pope but my colleagues and I tend to get remarkable good results for our clients, as I have mention before.
Just drop me a line (db@draytonbird.com), I promise we can help.
Best,
